Booking & Payment: Full payment is required to confirm your reservation. Digital or printed vouchers must be presented to the tour lead prior to departure.

Entrance Tickets: Rates cover professional bilingual guide services and comfortable group transportation. Site entry fees (Boleto Turístico del Cusco and the Qoricancha ticket) are not included in the standard tour rate unless explicitly stated during booking.

Cancellation & Changes: Full refunds are provided for cancellations made at least 24 hours before tour departure. Cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows will incur a 100% fee.

Health & Altitude: Cusco is located at an altitude of 3,400 meters (11,150 feet). Participants should be in good general health and comfortable walking on stone steps, inclined paths, and uneven terrain.

Itinerary
Day 1Qoricancha Sun Temple & Santo Domingo Convent
We’ll pick you up at your hotel 20 minutes before your chosen time (9:00 a.m. or 2:00 p.m.). 🚐
The first stop is the imposing TEMPLE OF THE SUN – Qoricancha 🌞
Its name in Quechua means “Place of Gold.”
Built with finely polished stones assembled with pinpoint precision, the Qoricancha stands as a testament to Inca ingenuity. 🔨
More than just a temple, it also served as a repository for treasures of gold and silver. 👀
During festivals, its walls glistened in the sunlight, creating a spectacle that amazed everyone. 🌟
Day 2Saqsayhuamán Archaeological Complex
Next, the imposing Sacsayhuamán Fortress awaits us. 🏰
World-renowned for its monumental walls.
Stone blocks weighing several metric tons, masterfully carved and assembled with precision, make this place a true testament to Inca ingenuity.
🔶 No mortar was used at all—only the harmony between art and engineering.
In addition to its architectural grandeur, Sacsayhuamán offers breathtaking panoramic views of Cusco and the surrounding Andean mountains.
🌄 It’s a setting that invites contemplation and a connection with the ancestral energy of the Inca Empire.
☀️ Every year on June 24, this sacred site comes alive with Inti Raymi, the traditional Festival of the Sun, which pays homage to the god Inti.
Amid dances, ceremonial costumes, and chants in Quechua, the past comes alive in all its splendor, revealing the spiritual and cultural soul of the Andes. 💫
Day 3Q'enqo Archaeological Complex
✨We continue our exploration on our way to Qenqo.
The enigmatic Sacred Labyrinth guides us through the three worlds of the Inca worldview: Hanac Pacha (the upper world of the gods), Kay Pacha (the earthly world of the living), and Ujhu Pacha (the inner world of the spirits). 🌌
More than just a stone structure, Qenqo is a symbol of the Incas’ spiritual and scientific depth.
Its rock-hewn galleries and winding corridors reveal an impressive fusion of architecture, religion, and astronomy. 🌀
At the heart of the sanctuary stands the mysterious “Sacred Stone,” also known as the “Sacrificial Stone,” a rock formation with channels and reliefs carved to perfection.
It is believed that rituals dedicated to the deities of nature were performed there, under the watchful gaze of the sun and the stars. 🌞🌙
The semicircular amphitheater at Qenqo, with its niches and reliefs, suggests a space for sacred ceremonies and celebrations.
According to scholars, the site may even have served astronomical purposes, aligning with celestial events that guided the Inca Empire’s agricultural and spiritual calendar. 🌿✨
Day 4Pucapucara Archaeological Complex
🔥 Our journey continues to the Puca Pucara Archaeological Complex, whose name in Quechua means “Red Fortress.”
A reference to the reddish hue of the stones that glisten under the Andean sun. 🏰✨
Meticulously planned, Puca Pucara served as a strategic checkpoint and defensive stronghold, protecting the roads leading to the majestic city of Cusco.
Its elevated position offers breathtaking panoramic views 🌄, allowing you to take in the valleys and trails that wind through the Inca landscape.
More than just a military outpost, this complex reveals the organized and visionary nature of the Inca civilization.
There, travelers and caravans were welcomed and regulated, transforming the site into a center of surveillance and sacred logistics. ⚔️🛕
Amid its stone walls and harmonious stairways, it’s still possible to feel the presence of a vibrant past: an echo of the strength and wisdom of the ancient guardians of the Andes. 💫
Day 5TAMBOMACHAY ARCHAEOLOGICAL COMPLEX
💧 We wrapped up our day at the serene Tambomachay, known as the “Temple of Water.”
One of the most beautiful examples of Inca hydraulic engineering. 🛕✨
Here, nature and architecture come together in perfect harmony:
Water flows through cascades and crystal-clear pools, while the carefully carved and assembled stones reflect the Incas’ deep respect for the sacred elements. 🌿
It is believed that Tambomachay was a sanctuary dedicated to purification and the worship of water, a symbol of life and spiritual renewal.
💦 Furthermore, it is said that the site also served as a peaceful retreat for Inca leaders—a space where power and serenity converged. 🌞

At the end of the tour in the city of Cusco, our van will drop you off near the Plaza de Armas so you can continue exploring this historic and charming city.

Are the entrance tickets included in the tour price?
Entrance tickets are not included. You will need to purchase the Boleto Turístico del Cusco (for Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, Pucapucara, and Tambomachay) and a separate entrance ticket for Qoricancha. Your guide will assist you in purchasing these directly at the gates using Peruvian Soles (cash only).
What is the difficulty level and physical requirement?
This is a light-to-moderate walking tour. It involves navigating historic stone stairs, slight inclines, and dirt paths. Due to Cusco's high elevation, we recommend spending at least 24 hours acclimating to the altitude before taking this tour.
What should I pack and wear for the day?
Wear comfortable walking shoes or sneakers and dress in layers, as mountain weather changes quickly. Be sure to bring your passport/ID, local cash (Soles), a rain jacket or poncho, sun protection (sunscreen, sunglasses, hat), and a reusable water bottle.
Where does the tour meet, and how long does it last?
The tour lasts approximately 4.5 to 5 hours. We offer hotel pickup for accommodations located within Cusco’s historic center. If your hotel is outside the downtown area, a central meeting point near the Plaza de Armas will be assigned.
